The Engineerium
The Lifetime Wellbeing Cooperative (LWC) will be situated at the historic British Engineerium site in Hove, East Sussex. The 19th-century heritage site was originally a pumping station and then a museum. This unique venue will enable the LWC to fulfil its mission in a meaningful setting that honours the past while building a happier future.
Events Gallery
The double-height Events Gallery is at the heart of the site. The space has a mezzanine floor and great acoustics, making it an ideal venue for all types of events, from club nights to corporate events. It’s the perfect place for a wedding.
The Events Gallery will hold up to 450 people at a time inside and the space can be configured for smaller, more intimate events.
We will rent the Events Gallery ‘dry’, so you can book whichever suppliers you choose, thus allowing you to customise your event at every point. We can also include the outside space in the rental, which provides space for food and coffee trucks as well as outdoor entertainment.

The Museum
Sitting alongside the Events Gallery is the museum, housing the traditional machinery, carefully restored, that powered the Victorian pump station. Access to the museum and a tour can be arranged separately, or it could be arranged as part of your event, and it would provide a useful mini reception space – as well as a talking point for guests.

Podcast Studio
For podcasters seeking a professional space to record, there is a state-of-the-art podcast studio available to hire. The studio features high-end recording equipment, and the layout could be configured to accommodate interviews, roundtable discussions or solo recordings.
